Katafi with ice cream

Καταΐφι με παγωτό

Moderate Difficulty / Servings: for 6 nests / Preparation: 10' /  Year: 20' - 25'


1 packet of kataifi sheet

150 gr. milk butter, melted

1 kg ice cream or vanilla

1 sweet jar of sour cherry

100 gr. pistachios of Aegina, finely chopped


Preheat the oven to 170 ° C. "Scrape" the kataifi sheet with your fingers, so that the fibers come off.

We take the same quantities from the leaf and make them in large cups. Put them in a large pan.

Spread them with butter using a brush. Put the nests in the oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, until they turn brown. Take them out and let them cool for about 30 minutes.

Put each nest on a saucer and in its recess a ball of ice cream and chopped pistachios. Serve with a little dessert spoon.


    We choose the taste of ice cream we want, as well as the type of dessert.

    We can skip the Aegina pistachio.

    If we prefer, and to reduce costs, we use cow butter instead of milk.
